I had to get out to the trail after working a 24 hour shift... so I called up my buddy with the Vehicross (who is also a newbie like me) and we hit up Holy Jim here in Orange County!!!
My friend had a blast (as this is the first time he took his Vehicross offroading)
Too bad he got stuck in one section when only 2 tires had traction & the other 2 where just spinning... now he wants more aggressive tires, lift, skids, and locking diff.
Looks like you guys had fun!
I LOVE those Isuzu's. They are so freaking cool.
Their unique styling makes them really cool... I think his truck would make for a pretty sweet rig when he is done with it... I'll have to take him to more trails.
I still have a soft spot in my heart for the old VehiCROSS. Only sold in the states for three years (99-01) I missed my chance. It has most of the running gear from the Trooper (a phenominal expedition rig) and a fairly advanced AWD system with central locking differential.
I believe the same people who like the FJC would like the Vehicross, and for the same reasons. Unique styling, offroad prowess, quirky drowbacks (fuel mileage, rear visibility, poor rear seat access, sound familiar?)
Yup! I've been an admirer of the vehiCROSS as well. I have a penchant for "unique" trucks.
Thanks for sharing the pics!

6 spd MT Voodoo Blue
Rear diff and e-locker scuba mod
CB w/ custom CB antenna mount on uppper rear door hinge
A-Trac switch installed
Custom tube bumper in the works...
Wow, after reading through all this it looks like I'm the 15th guy to say how cool the Vehicross is. Hope you show this to your buddy. What is the rear seat situation in those?
