Fj cruiser Body Lift

Hello people
Today I was with a friend that owns a silver fj and he is lifting it, we went to the shop to see it, in the shop there where like 4 more FJ's and one of those had 3 inch suspension lift and 3 inch body lift.
I had never saw an fj with a body lift. Here is a pic of it.

I agree, it will look cool when his trailer hitch is 3" below his bumper, especially if he has the oem hitch, the cutout will look goofy. If he put real sliders on that rig they would sit 3" below the body as well.

Re: Fj cruiser Body Lift

The owner has spent $12.000
That fj has:
3 inch suspension lift
3 inch body lift
4 HID lights
9k tabor winch
Rear Warn Bumper
Maxxis Buckshot mudders 35x12.50
TRD wheels
Fab Fours front bumper

They made extensions for the front bumper mounts to put it in level with the body, also with the back bumper and sliders

Re: Fj cruiser Body Lift

I didn't know you can make 35/12.5"s work with the TRD wheels.
How did he?
I have TRD wheels and I am afraid to go over 285's.

The problem is that most people loose a bead when running that low of tire pressure. I don't know how you are running 12.50's on a 7inch wide rim or why you would want to. Have you never blown a bead?

Also, i am not a fan of a body lift either. Much less one that is 3 inches. I see all these chevy's running around with 3 inch body lifts and the way the body sits higher than the frame when you look at it from the side is ugly.

No, I have never blown a bead. In my country we don't do rocks, our trails are mostly red mud and inside the jungle.
Yeah I agree with your though about the body lift, i also dislike it.

The sliders that are in the picture are predator step bars that attach to the underside of the rocker pannel so they will go up with the body. They do not work as sliders. The winch that he bought is underpowered, it should be at least a 9500lb winch. Four HID lights are cool but at about $600 each its seems like overkill to me. The FJ looks cool but in my opinion he could have used his money more wisely.
