Re: Out near tampa

I've been looking for a place to wheel near Tampa. Croom and the Ocala National Forest are the only places I can think of. Do you know of any other places? I hear of some official off-road park out in Polk County somewhere, but haven't been able to find any info.

Re: Out near tampa

im new to the off roading thing so I don't know of many places. I have only been to croom twice and have heard good things about both Ocala and Richloam. Heard there are some trails at Richloam where one could get in trouble.

Re: Out near tampa

I have been to Richloam by ourselves a couple of times and with the Flatlanders once on Labor Day. If you want to find the the good spots, I think you need somebody who knows the area. I have photos of that Labor day but can't post them yet. Let me know if you are interested in seeing them. Richloam isn't that far if you take the back roads.

We also went to Citrus by ourselves and really did not find anything besides trails. Next time I am going to search for the Mutal Mine.

I am always looking for places near Tampa.
