What a yaahoo, giving all us FJ guys a bad name. Not sure who this is but I would rather be stuck on a desert island with Tom Hanks than be this guys passenger. The guys at tread lightly are having coronaries right now and the guys at BLM are reviewing future permits I am sure. Think at least 5 minutes ahead before trying this stuff.

Is it just me or is jumping on the rig to add weight a bad idea. Not only for the safety of those jumping on but the fact that they are getting on and off and shifting there own weight around.

I'm not trying to offend anyone; I'm honestly curious if it would help or hurt the situation.

You said it, I'm sorry but that was totally assinine and where the fok were they going once they started across?

Maybe next year the Summit can hand out the Darwin awards to people like this.

Oh! Anyone happen to notice that there was a bridge there for crossing the river?

Re: A driver (to remain nameless...by me anyway) crossing (trying to cross) a river

good thing that was in Ouray...I'm sure the organizers explained to everyone about treading lightly by staying on the trails.....and all those people standing around didn't say anything to stop him/her from trying to cross there...thumbs up to those people as well....

....and according to the July/August contest photo thread.....said FJ is "wilson".....

I know him. He's a great guy. Too many mall crawler drivers a hatin' up in here.

By the way, there used to be a trail there. The stream washed it out.
