Re: Pics of TRD 3inch Toytec/OME lift

After driving her around today with the lift, I realized the tires are a little too small. And I may start looking to upgrade if I can...
Which tire would look best 285/70/17 or 285/75/17...without having to regear or do a body mount chop.

Depends on the look you want. Nitto Trail Grapplers are pretty aggressive looking but road worthy as well. Kris has the Terra Grapplers on her rig and they function perfectly. 285 70 16 same size you would run with the TRD. They are an excellent all around tire. Again it comes down to the money you want to spend!

With your current TRD wheels which are 16", the 285/75/17s wouldn't work. You'd have to go with the 285/75/16s. A nice aggressive looking tread would look great on your rig although I still think it already looks great as is with your current size BFGs.

I want a AT tire...for a cheap price. Doesnt matter what brand they are, I prefer to have white lettering on them which adds the sporty look. (That may be stupid but Idk which ones come with that lol)

Re: Pics of TRD 3inch Toytec/OME lift

Is that the Toytec spring kit FJ3? I have an 08 with the off road package so I can reuse my shocks.

Did you need the swaybar relocate and diff drop or just the springs?

Thanks!

It is the toytec spring lift kit...I did not swap the shocks, do a swaybar relocation, or diff drop...Just bought the springs and got them installed with my Bilstein shocks...
The rear rides a little rougher on big bumps because the shock is sometimes stretched more than it should be but its not a problem...Nonetheless I will eventually get longer shocks for the back.

And to you other guys thanks for the compliments...
