Cracked frame and broken engine mount!?!

This sucks: my drivers side motor mount has broken at the spot where it is welded to the frame. It has completely sheared and the mount hammered a nice hole in my frame. I know this has happened to other FJs and i hear that places like SDHQ mod the FJ motor mounts.
Anyone have any useful information about this problem or the best way to go about fixing it?

Oh &*@# This has happened to me too. Toyota doesn't want to pay neither does insurance. They say cause it happened off road. I have State Farm with the best coverage you can get. Any ideas what to do??

Re: Cracked frame and broken engine mount!?!

You have to pay to play. It wasn't offroad driving that broke the mount, it was hard offroad driving. Back off the skinny pedal.

Pretty sure State Farm will cover damages off road, sometimes you have to fight and look over exclusions in your policy. I know for a fact that other folks have damaged (body damage) when offroading have claimed it on their insurance without an issue. It sounds like you just have a sh*t agent, which I myself had after my old agent retired, and had to fight for a claim, but in the end all worked out (also a State Farm Customer).
