Ummm, I think my front end is going to fall off. Fellow FJ lovers, help me out on this one. Has anybody else seen this kind of damage/defect on any other FJ's? I'm thinking since it's a first year model this would hopefully be covered by warranty... Input please...
Well, no on the excessive weight on the front end, although the idea about the winch/bumper poss too much weight, and came to the conclusion that it's not a factor because the bumper is more than securely anchored to the frame at multiple points. Probably all the airtime we get. Not so much jumping, we like that, but charging and driving over ledges and drops. Big Bear, Zion, Glammis, Pismo, Joshua Tree, this is our funmobile. We've (I've) already been through 1 starter, 2 alternators, 1 power steering pump, 3 serpentine belts, 1 tranny pan, 2 antennas (after the last one broke I haven't bothered to replace it), 1 winshield, I put the Warn bumper on 'cause I tore the original off on a tree in Oregon, running on a donated set of factory skidplates (God I need some OME ones), 3 shredded BFG AT TA KO's (at once, hence the 2nd spare tire on top),1 alloy wheel, 3 break in attempts (with lasting scars), and a (weak) attempted carjacking (by a tweeker) In Lake Havasu City, AZ. She's been thru a lot, but like my last rig, an '83 Toyota SR5 4WD, it just keeps on going.

Do you really think you can do all that stuff, might want to review your carnage pics in your gallery, and still claim it as a defect? You my friend need a tank not a FJ
Holy cow! Well, just clean 'er up extremely well and take 'er into the dealer and swear you've never had her off road... All the additions are just to get laid.
Amity, I'll have to put my head together w/Air2Air, thanks. We went to LHC, AZ for Easter and on the way (some detour) stopped at Donahoe to talk with mike, he set me up w/the kids @ Cartek(?) for my rear susp. Great co, great ppl, great products! Then went over to Demello, and finally Cartek. (I did have to take the girlfriend to Disneyland as a result). But the f'glass is the way to go. My FJ is already paid off, so I may as well....
the problem is the tires contacting the inner fender when you are hit hard coming off of a ledge, woop or jump. Something to consider is change the bump stops to something a little big to keep the tires from reaching the inner fender, or go big and get the jounce shocks.
Your best bet(s)
1. weld it back to gether with a little more reinforcing.
2. fiberglass fenders and hoods like what Air2Air is doing but it would look wierd with out widing the stance 6 inches or so with the Total chaos long travel kit,
3. see if you can find a fj that you can cut its front end off and then weld on to yours (would be alot of work but it the right way to do it)
Hope you can get it taken care of.
O and it is "Kartek" just to let you know. I love that store.

This is straight Bull because here's a person who clearly has spent his money on destroying and stressing/not testing their FJ Crusier beyond any offroading limits. This is bull and so is the owner. Sure you could've blown the damn thing up it's your money. But instead you purchased a 2007 to destroy and then have the nerve to post the dumbest post on this forum, asking forum members have they had the same things happen to their truck. HELL NO!!!!! You stupid monkey!!! Most people purchase those type of things not to destroy, but to drive like normal. Stupid **** is one thing but when you ask us are we experiencing the same problem. The answer to that is HELL NO. Go buy some real drugs maybe that will be your excuse for abusing a 2007 FJ Crusier.
