Front axle noise while turning steering wheel back and forth:(
Well I've been hearing this noise for a little bit (even @ the summit) but it's now progressively gotten worse I assumed it was the steering knuckle and just needed some grease but noooo we just took a look @ it and the noise is coming from my drivers side CV boot...did I bend something? Going to take a look @ it on monday up on a lift but just wondering if anyone has heard this before? sounds like really loud creaking, not good, it vibrates the entire vehicle through the floor board arghhhhhhh!!! hoping for the best but who knows Any help would deeply be appreciated!!!!

A humming or growling noise. Sometimes due to inadequate lubrication in either the inner or outer CV joint, this symptom is more often due to worn or damaged wheel bearings, a bad intermediate shaft bearing on equal length halfshaft transaxles, or due to worn shaft bearings within the transmission.
My next question is what to do, I have a toyota resource through my work but will have to pay for the part @ cost, or do I put up a fit with the dealer and try to get it taken care of by warranty. as you all know I'm lifted with plenty of aftermarket parts installed. I'm a damn good debater also....should I put up a fight and do any of you have some good lines to tell the stealer? I swear this happened while not offroading also!!!!! HELP S.O.S!!!!!

It is definately a CV joint. Tacozilla has entire axles on sale and he should be back from TTORA TAkeover. If you are lifted most dealers will not replace. You probably wore a hole in the boot from the constant bend. There are repalcement boots that are much thicker but I'm not sure who sells them. Shannon (Tacozilla) will know or you can go over to TTORA and try to do a search. Good Luck

There is no hole or grease anywhere, I'm bringing it to a dealer that sells the FJ lifted and arguing @ that point right there. WE shall see, if too expensive I will see if my mech can do it for less, i get everything @ cost

Okay took it into the dealer and they say there is nothing wrong WTF it never made the sound before I can't believe this. If I break down on Hells Revenge due to this that flipping dealer is getting a tow charge
Anyone experiencing this??????

Hmmmm. The only thing I can recommend is not to turn your steering wheel back and forth anymore. Just drive straight
