Avondale Toyota pretends to perform work.

I just want to complain and see if anybody else has had this problem. I bought the maintenance plan from Toyota to save me some time and nicked knuckles...On my last service they were scheduled to rotate my tires. Well to make a long story short they didn't. How do I know? I had a slow leak in the passenger rear tire b4 the "rotation" and guess what I still do!

Also, why do they insist on filling my washer reservoir with water and not washer fluid? Cheep bastards!

Nice of you to report this.

Also check the greasing on the drive shafts most of the time they just skip it. Thats for most dealers.

Re: Avondale Toyota pretends to perform work.

for tire rotations you cant beat les schwab, its free for anyone anytime, as are flat fixes, whether you bought your tires there or not.

Plus it is fast, courteous and competent. Four people often are invloved, it is like a race pitstop.

I had a flat fixed and my tires rotated in just 11 minutes, and that included the mandatory delay for the patch cement pre-curing.

Les Schwab, a central oregon institution who built a billion dollar tire retailing / tire regrooving empire from scratch died earlier this year... he had built a huge private company, always resisting selling out to wall street. Every single person hired by the company starts the same place.. changing tires.

WHile the wallstreet moneymen and hedge fund and buyout kings are squeezing the little guy right and left, half of Schwab profits are distributed to employees.

Tire industry icon Les Schwab dies at 89

Re: Avondale Toyota pretends to perform work.

This is why I love doing my own serviceing and tire rotation. The drive shaft is tough to grease when you crawl up under there, but it is a good feeling when you get the job done and know you did it yourself.
