Re: Engine Bay Body Rips

Damn! 52000 kms and have 2 symetrical bulges in front of the hood shock. Its like it happened overnight. I had the tranny replaced last week and there were no bulges. Now I have 2 itty bitty titties!

It was slipping from 2nd to 3rd and dropping in hard. I sampled the ATF fluid and it was burnt. Toyota doesn't have to tell you the reason for failure when under warranty and they didn't. No questions asked, they covered it.

Re: Engine Bay Body Rips

Full report on the warrantied replacement of the inner fender aprons will come next week. They stopped working on them for a few days to But soon we will have a brand new set of fender aprons.
Oh, by the way the new ones are identical to the ones in the 08

No since my replaced aprons are the same and the driver side has already started to bulge.

Re: Engine Bay Body Rips

After reporting my tiny bulge to my dealership in Aug/Sep 07 and getting a somewhat ho-hum response, I finally called Toyota Corp and got a claim number. They'll call the dealership and get them on the ball and have a rep come out sooner than later to take a look.

This isn't new news for most of you, but just another post about the process.

Re: Engine Bay Body Rips

the 08 has a redesigned inner fender well, you can clearly see differences in the placement of the crumple indentions and some dimples around it. The aprons they welded into my truck, appear to be 08 fender aprons.
