Just the stock forward plate (not the bling thing).

This is what I am wondering is if someone has BudBuilt or All-Pro plates on if this would help with the body flex and give the front end a little more support.... I think the bulge might still happen, but would help with the crack!

Stop Crack!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just say no to Crack!!!!!

Re: Engine Bay Body Rips

I know I have seen photos on this site of the hood separating from its support structure.
Could this be caused by the same forces?

Could the entire front section of the body flexing and compressing the area between the hood latch and the hood hinges, both of which are connected to the hood support structure, cause repeated shearing forces to the spot welds, resulting in failure?

Question: Do the owners who have experienced hood panel separation from the under-hood support structure also have the crumple zone cracks?

Search "hood separation", thread will show

OMG-This IS the end of the world.

First the front end, then the hood...next thing you know, the driveshaft will become a projectile and kill MILLIONS!

A big fat NO!!! I had the hood seperating...no ripple...the hood thing is just plan old cheap glue...NO spot welds....good glue and it's fixed.....
