i might be talking out of trun..

but wouldn't u want the build date on the 3rd member then the truck's built date..

cause if the 3rd member had an ealry production date then that might be the problem..


lets say if the truck is an 06 and its 3rd member was built in ealry 05, and that blew u say it was on 06 that broke.. but it was an 05 3rd member.

just somthing to think about...

Ideally that would be the best info. Unfortunately I don't think that most owners would know how to get that info. If you do please share it. At least the truck build date can help to isolate the third member build date.

here you go.. All 3rd members are stamped with a date...



this pic shows a org 3rd member buld date of 3/16/05





Here is a pic of a 3rd that was changed out after it blew.. Build date of 2/6/06

Awesome! Thanks man. I'll post that on the front page. I just found out that my FJ has a 9-18-06 3rd member in it. Hopefully it's not as hard a gear set.
