Good Dealer Service?

Obviously this section of the forum deals with problems and or dealer service, but how about posting stories of the exceptional service you recieved from either your Toyota dealer or a Toyota dealer that you used in the past.

As my FJ is still on its first oil change, (I travel alot), I will post a story about the experience I've had with my dealer here in Calgary with our 98 Sienna Van (no longer have this vehicle).

I took it into Toyota for an oil change and left there for the day as I was heading to work and didn't need to hang around. I asked them if they wouldn't mind cleaning the inside of the windshield for me as I hate trying to stretch and reach all the corners of this large windshield and they said "sure, no problem." When I picked it up at the end of the day, I asked if they had cleaned the windshield for me, and they said "Actually, our detailers did not have much to do today so we got them to do your van for you." Yes, they cleaned both the inside and out, just like they were getting it ready for a customer; and all for the price of an oil change!

Actually, come to think of it, when I took my FJ in for its first oil change, they washed it for me.

Re: Good Dealer Service?

Hi CanadaFJ: Long time lurker... not-many time poster. I, too, have had great customer service at Markville Toyota (in Markham, ON) - always polite, courteous, and on time!

It's a real shock to me every time I go in for service... I'm used to dealing with GM dealers, where I always felt I was 'inconveniencing them' by asking them to do stuff like oil changes and warranty work... it's nice to walk into a dealership without a two-page printout of the 'list of problems' that you'd like 'em to look into.

Cheers!

i told my salesman.
i have never bought a car from the same sales person. they move lots and quit.. but .. i buy there because of Don.

Re: Good Dealer Service?

I can't say enough about Muller Toyota in Glen Gardner, NJ. They've serviced a couple of issues on my FJ, and do a great job all around.

Re: Good Dealer Service?

Gateway Toyota has been brutal for service, wouldn't honour a coupon for a free oil change and detail that they had given me. The Service writters and Manangers are quite inept.

Sun Toyota has been great! They had my information entered into the computer and the oilchange done in 30 minutes. They even honoured Gateway's coupon for the free oilchange and detail.
