Great Service... NOT !

My Fj needed it's first state inspection so I dropped it off at Checkered Flag Toyota to take care of it . I got there at around 8:15 a.m. and had no appt. so they said it would be done around 3-4 p.m. While I was there waiting for a ride I was checking out a new 08 brick w/off-road package out back . The next thing I see is my Fj parked right down from where I was standing . I call the dealership around 3:30p.m. to see if it's ready , within the hour the lady told me . I show up at 20 min. to 5p.m. and pull around back and see my Fj sittin in the same place with the old sticker . I go in and inquire about my ride and the guy says "let me go check" . I told him it's still sittin in the same place as this morning with the old sticker . The place got kinda quiet and all the service reps. glared at me . I was gettin a little hot now . The serv. rep comes back and tell me it will be ready in 30. min. I must say this experience was a joke in the least , nine hours later they pull it in to lick and stick it while I wait ! All this being said my buying experience was great and the oil changes never took over 30 min. each time . I suppose as long as you buy cars and only get the oil changed your good lol. Anyone else have any thoughts or similar experiences ?

Re: Great Service... NOT !

I have been to both places with different toyotas and never had a problem with the quality of work , I just think an inspection shouldn't have taken 9 hours to do until I'm there pissed tappin my foot . They could have told me they're booked or suggested I make an appt. Hell , if they would have had it done when I got there I would have been happy . All in all we run into these experiences everywhere and letting the dealer and others know this is not excellent service is the only thing we can do .

Re: Great Service... NOT !

it happens sometimes. inspections pay like 2/10ths of an hour so i'm sure no one was eager to do it. not that its an excuse, but it does happen. start a list and if you get more than 10 problems, we'll all go down there and.....well we'll all just go down there...yeah!!

Re: Great Service... NOT !

Maybe move to New Jersey: we get a 4 year sticker on new cars .

Seriously though, they owed you an oil change coupon or something.

Re: Great Service... NOT !

FJ#8 , I have a black diamond w/o a rack , I spotted a nice lifted Fj a while back on Battlefield near the hospital , I want to say it was a blk cherry but not sure it's been a while sound like yours ? On a side note, the brick met. Fj looks a lot better in person than the pics I've seen . I also must say an fj looks better w/16 in. wheels too.
