FJ Detailed! FUNNY!!!

Ok, so I bought my FJ about 4 months ago. When I bought it I negotiated Sirius and bought a paint protection warranty...

So heres the fun part they were supposed to call me 1 week after purchase. I never heard any thing, (go figure). I called several times and got no where.

I went in on thursday and spoke to the manager. I got an appointment for the Sirius for yesterday.

I brought it in and they stated they never put the special "wax" on the FJ and they would have to do that too. Well me treating my FJ like a FJ should be treated I have done some off-roading. It had a couple.... hundred brush scrapes on it.. u know how it goes. Well I picked it up last night and it looks BRAND NEW!!! I wish I had some before and after pics for u all!

Re: FJ Detailed! FUNNY!!!

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but those dealer applied "sealants" are the stealerships way of taking more $$ from ya (Hopefully they threw it in). Don't be shocked if you see the original brush scratches back again. CHances are they use a glaze which will wash away in a few short weeks. Hopefully I'm wrong though.

Re: FJ Detailed! FUNNY!!!

good story. I'll add another.

I put a small dent in my door wheeling a couple months ago. Last month I took the truck in to "re do" some clear coat that flaked. It ended up taking a couple days longer than expected, but when I got it back the dent was fixed.

They never mentioned it to me. It could have been good will (ha ha), but my guess is they thought the dent happened while it was in their shop and took care of it. Bonus.
