Brake problems

One three separate occasions since I have owned my 2007 FJ Cruiser, my brake pedal would not go down when I first pressed the pedal. The problem has gone away as quickly as it came. There has always been enough room my FJ Cruiser and the car in front of me that I was able to avoid an accident. But I cannot figure out why this happens and don't want to be in a situation where the brakes go out altogether. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Brake problems

have you checked for any leaks under the fj? have you checked to make sure the brake fluid resivor cap is tight? and have you taken the fj to the dealer to check for air in the lines? Hope this helps

Re: Brake problems

Brakes are a very serious thing. Take your FJ to the dealer ASAP.
