Rear Diffs and Homedad

Yes my diff failed twice...yes it was covered twice....and my front diff blew too...and my tranny....and all my pullies.....and my ECU....I'm glad everyone respects my opinion enough to ask me questions...but....

Your truck came from the factory with a 3 year 36,000 mile drive train warranty
The FJ is being sold as the replacement for the FJ-40
The FJ was never advertised as a mall crawler...in fact there are NO ads
The FJ Trail Team is resposable for the promotion of this "niche" truck
The entire ad campain shows the rig OFF-ROAD
In mud
In water
In snow
On rocks
On crazy trails
Doing things most of us would never consider doing to a $30,000 truck

When your diff blows and Toyota calls abuse...grow some stones and make them fix it....or call a lawyer....you don't need our opinions....you need an attorney.....

Re: Rear Diffs and Homedad

Absolutely agreed!

I'm new to the forums, new to Toyota, and fairly new to off-road driving. You'd expect some dents and dings and some failures. But you don't expect a company to "cherry-pick" who is covered under warranty and who is not.

Sadly, lawyering up seems the way to do.

Bummer...

Hey, you could probably disassemble the odo and put it back to 33k for the service but that would be fraudulent. Bad!
