very wet inside door... abnormal

a few weeks ago i ripped out my speakers in the doors and found them to be extremely wet. it hadnt rained for weeks before i did this. and the car hadnt been sitting in the rain. i have ripped apart more cars than i can count and i have never seen this much moisture in a door. the pics here dont do justice for the amount of moisture inside the door. anybody else pull the door panel off and see this problem??

Re: very wet inside door... abnormal

Don't know if our FJC's are the same or not, but my FJ80 has small drain (vent?) slots in the bottom of the doors and body that can get clogged with mud - found this out when I actually had water sloshing around in the door after several days of hard rain. The floor kept getting wet too. Might be something to check - open the door and look along the very bottom seam.

Re: very wet inside door... abnormal

Hey man, I just bought my FJ and my door also leaked, the only way I found out was it soaked the seat belt behind the panel and when I buckled up it was soaking. Brought it in and they had to replace the rubber door framing/seal, apparently the glue they use doesnt always seal properly. No problems since.

good luck!

Ditto what 1911 said. Maybe the water had no where to go when they came down the roof. Clean out the drain holes and see if the problem goes away.
