If this is the case, will you contact WE about the possibility their design is contributing to this? Has anyone else with WE had this problem? or anyone with other lifts?
Yes, but I need to take some measurements first. I have another friend who is running the DRs and his just squirted on him. My service advisor said they have had some stock FJs with the problem!

i have the rough country 3 inch lift on mine. and i am taking it in tomorrow morning for them to replace the driversie seal. it is leaking. Toyota of knoxville took mine in last week and told me the seal needs replaced, and if they had one they would have replaced it. but they didn't. so i made an appointment for tomorrow at my local dealership. when i called them, they told me that this is not a known problem for the fj but they will check my leak out. so we will see. if they give me any gripe about my lift i will then ask them, why was knoxville toyota going to replace it under warranty.? Hello! i asked knoxville toyota about my lift. they said no it does not do anything to the warranty. hello again.. I will update you when my dealer gives me the final.. etc .

if they decide to give me a tough time then i will probably get real ugly about it. and go see one of my many attourney friends. my 02..

then i will have to print out posts reguarding this problem. then i will go to the show room and grab a brochure and take it to them and say. why does the manual say and advertise aftermarket lifts for the fj and now you tell frog its not covered. hello again 3rd time. good luck frog
Remember to breath and hopefully they will help you out. The thing is if the dealer adds the lift the dealer warranties it and stands behind it. If we add the lifts, they are less likely to stand behind it, because they didn't instal it. That's why you have that little thing called the Magnusen Moss Act. Good luck.

Oh ya,

I got my FJ back

Re: Front Diff Seals leaking again

update, my Dealer, I have to give big thumbs up, they took such great care and respect of my issue, no questions, no hassles. Frog sounds like you need a different dealer imo. I love mine so I have to recommend them to any and all who are in the area or just passing through. way to go Jim Barkley Toyota of Asheville nc:bigthum b:

Ya, the first time through for me it was the same way. No problems will do it, everyone happy. If and when it happens again to you I'm betting your experience changes a bit . Glad you got it done.

Today I took about .40 inches of lift off the front and my drive angles are practically level with the FJ just sitting on the ground. This combined with some good limit straps (properly set up) and I'm guessing that my problem might go away or at least happen less frequently (not every 13K miles). After seeing the seal with my own eyes, and now knowing that WEs have more droop then most of the other brands out there, I've got to take corrective action to limit the droop. To start I need to compare the Stock droop to my WEs. Then I'll adjust my limit straps to the stock droop length if neded. I still need to see exactly how for the WEs are drooping on my vehicle. Then, if I find the WEs are drooping too far, I'll setup my straps and share this info with everyone, including All Pro and WE.
