Re: More Brake Issues!!!

I had this exact same issue. Took it in and "poof" it goes away after 6 hours in the shop and I am the retard because nothing was wrong. period. Has been fine since this mystery check up at the dealership.

taking my 2007 fj cruiser to the dealer tuesday it seems to be doing the same thing. i was just wondering if replacing the pin had fixed the problem? thats a really scary feeling... the first time mine did it we were sitting at a red light and it felt like someone had bumped into the rear of the vechicle.
Yes the pin that was replaced seemed to do the trick. I haven't had any issues at all since it's been in for service. I even have more feedback from the brake pedal when I depress it instead of an inch and a half of mushy air before they grab.

I hope your dealership can get everything straightened out for you. The slight bump feeling you're getting is normal on the FJ and sadly all of us (including Tacoma, 4 Runner, and V6 Tundra owners) experience it from time to time. It's inherent in our vehicles. However, little or no feeling in your brake pedal, your rig not wanting to stop, or suddenly rolling when stopped is not normal and should be checked ASAP.

Best of luck, and be sure to let us know what happens

DAN

Did they remove your calipers, adjust the brakes, turn the rotors, adjust the drums? They may not have replaced anything on your rig, but performed some preventative maintenance and inadvertently fixed the issue??? Just a thought. I hope your brake issues are behind you now
