N02 Sensor & CAN system

SO I have been dealing with this for a couple of weeks now. FIgured I would post up here to see if anyone has some ideas. I have a check engine, and all the VSC lights on. Took it to the dealer and they said rats chewing on my wires. I looked and I could not find any evidence of this. I take it to a different shop (not dealership) and they pull the code and tell me its the NO2 code and the CAN system (which I was told is the communication system). They did not see any rat damage.

SO am am now trying to take it to yet another dealership, cuz I don't trust the first one, and have them do yet another check and see what they find.
Has anyone out there delt with this or have they heard of this? The truck is running fine it just kind of lags when going on the highway..

Is the dealership BSing me or am I just going to have to pony up and pay for this stupid fix out of pocket?? Any help would be great...

Re: N02 Sensor & CAN system

Either take it to a different dealer if it is a convenient option, or, go back the the "Rats chewed it" Dealer, make them show you the Rat chewing damage, and when they can't, make them fix what they should have done in the first place. Also make them give you a no charge rental until it is done for the extra trouble you have had to go through because their tech is either full of **** and lazy, or to damn stupid to be working in auto repairs to begin with.

Good luck man,
J

Re: N02 Sensor & CAN system

Had the same symptoms and it was a bad catalytic convertor, replaced under warranty. The dealer is guessing, at best.
