Seat Movement Fix

Hi Fellow FJers

I posted a thread about a problem I was having with seat movement.
I originally took it to a Toyota dealership where they took the drivers seat out and tightened and crimped the seat track. That didn't work. I then took it to the dealership that I bought the truck from. They removed the seat and installed a new seat track assembly. After a few weeks, I haven't noticed any seat movement. My fingers are crossed that this fix will work. If you have this problem, (it was a warranty covered item) get them to put in a new seat track assembly. The drivers seat feels tighter and so far has a good solid feel when cornering sharply.

Cheers.

Re: Seat Movement Fix

I think I have this problem also. Does the seat move down on long drives? That's what mine does.

Re: Seat Movement Fix

I'm not sure if I have this problem. I know that when i move the seat it locks but then when i am driving or taking a corner it feels as if the other side is "locking" and makes a click sound. does the seat lock on both sides?
