Exclamation HELP: Engine Whine low RPM

Hello:
****UPDATE BELIEVE IT TO BE ALTERNATOR*******
The problem

Engine has whine/howl at idle low rpm 1000-2000. Outside this range the noise is not audible. The noise is louder in cab than outside near engine. Just started today. No 4x4 activity to set it off. I smell light oil burn off (not normal never noticed) and see weeping at crank case pulley. Not sure of source of weeping oil or if related.

Turning steering wheel left or right reduces noise at idle as RPMs drop (to asses the steering pump).

BTW I did use the search function but have not located a similar noise.

Observations
Video of sound (Audible at 15, 32, 55 seconds) OUTSIDE CAR

Re: HELP: Engine Whine low RPM

OK went to listen to engine. Used a wooden stick and placed to various parts. The whine was located closest to the alternator. Checked dash and saw my guage bouncing around (did not occur earlier). To further confirm pulled the negative form battery while engining running. The result was stopped engine. Likely alternator. Not sure about the weeping oil though.

Re: HELP: Engine Whine low RPM

Update better video. Will get conformation but really appears to be the alternator, added video to first post. If confirmed I will make a new thread with appropriate title to help future FJers
