Water leak?

was underneath my FJ today just checking things out and noticed that i had some water dripping off the passenger side frame rail, it hasn't rained at all the past few days and the driver side isnt doing it, could it be from the A/C condenser? here is a pic ( please forgive my "writing" i hate windows paint) the water seems to be coming from above the frame but i cannot see where it could be coming from, any ideas?

Thx

Re: Water leak?

That is the same place my AC condensate drains. I would bet that is it.

Re: Water leak?

Looks like it is from the AC. You didn't really say if you were using it. Leave the beast running with the AC on and get down and have a look see. Using all appropriate safety precautions of coarse.

Re: Water leak?

actually i did have the AC on today :P now is it just me or should toyota do something about that before the frame rots out, i personally think its sorta stupid to have the AC drain over a metal frame that has MIG welds on it, when they know damn well that MIG welds rust a lot faster than the metal they use for the frames, i feel a TSB coming fer this

Re: Water leak?

A/C drain is what you have no clear fluid used in the truck . An if you have been on the road with it the wind will blow the water down frame rail.

Re: Water leak?

Hook a hose up to the drain and extend it to drain in a harmless location.

Here is the drain hose. Ignore the red hose, inserted just for identification of the drain hose in this picture.
