steering vibration after 60 mph (NORMAL)

Had steering vibration (60 - 65 mph) last month - dealer road forced balanced all four tires and the problem was gone. Two days a ago, same problem, took it to the dealer, after 3 hours of I dont know what, they say that they consulted with toyota and it is a "normal characteristics of the this car"

What BS?

The only folks I've heard of having this problem were running huge Muds. Recommend you call Toyota Customer Service and raise holy hell till it's really fixed.

Is It Possible To Put A Poll To Determine How Many Are Having This Problem? It Will Really Help.

Re: steering vibration after 60 mph (NORMAL)

I have that vibration. Comes in at about 60 and clears up at around 70. I just havn't brought it back to get them rebalanced yet.

If the problem went away after they rebalanced then I would say they need to get those back on the balancer and rebalance all 4 again. This is not normal.

Re: steering vibration after 60 mph (NORMAL)

did they in fact rebalance it again or just told you that? because the weights on the tire might have chipped off if you hit anything on the road. a low chance but it could have. No car I can think of has a NORMAL vibration at 60.

Mine is smooth as it can be, they're bsing you. If you have aftermarket tires there may be a problem there, if not they ain't balanced right.
