I spoke with him about the Panaramic sunroof and he seemed fine with the 10%, so maybe the issue is with the smaller sunroofs I guess.

Yeah, that's what he said. Discount on the panaoramic only. Not enough profit margin to give the discount on the Hollandia 790. So, he said to me. Let me know if he tells anyone else different. Thanks!

Re: Got a sunroof installed

I went to Airstream to check out the sunroof. Robert seems cool, I decided against the sunroof because I don't know if I want to deal with the whole sunshade concept. They seem to be a good shop, so please don't let my pickiness stop anyone from going to them...

What "sunshade concept"? Are you talking about the tinted sunroof window? FWIW, if you don't like the sunshade you can just close the interior panel which shuts out all the light. As for me I love the light coming into the cab w/the sunroof -- shaded or not -- except when it's shining in my eyes -- in which case, I partially or fully close the surnroof, but I've never used the interior panel to make to return it to OEM "cave" status -- but to each their own.

Im not sure which sunroof you got but I was looking at the panaramic model, which is HUGE, and I love that, but it doesnt allow you to have room for the interior panel. Instead it as 4 sunshades(like the ones you can get for your rear window). they slide in and out from a center panel. This Im sure is enough to block light, but just feels a little cheap to me. I guess for 1200 I am only willing to get exactly what I want. So the search will go on, or I may just abandon it all together...

OIC, we're talking apples and oranges. I got the Hollandia 790 -- a huge CONVENTIONAL style sunroof w/a tinted glass panel that can be adjusted to full open or any position in between and has the solid panel that can block out all (or part) of the light when the sunroof is closed.

Tmaxxgod4: FWIW, the panel is just like those available in OEM sunroof installations. I don't have a very good digital cam, but I'll try to take a couple of pics in a day or so.
