7-21 Cleghorn to Arrowhead (aftermath)

9 FJ's and 1 4-Runner arrived at the trailhead and 9 FJ's and 1 4-Runner made it along the bypass 4x4 road adjacent to Cleghorn Road to Lake Silverwood. THUBUB and I sustained minor trail damaged but the rest of the rigs made it without a dent.

For everyone who didn't make it, there will be another day - to those who did, it was a good time and a Saturday well spent.

It's not all about trailing though. We had a great time comparing notes about mods, getting to know new friends and reaquainting with old buddies. It's not Ouray, but when you get FJ people together, the result is almost a foregone conclusion.

Four of us continued on from Lake Silverwood to Lake Arrowhead (via Deep Creek) and we were only directionally challenged once. There was a big fire in that area two years ago and the place looked very different than the last time I was there.

Post your picts here if you've got them so we can all enjoy the experience in that way as well.

Re: 7-21 Cleghorn to Arrowhead (aftermath)

Sorry I missed the run Uphill.

I am having some problems with the FJ. I hit a bump and all the dash lights go crazy, gauges go to zero, but no codes. I do not have a clue.

Looks like you guys had a great time, it is hard not to, going to Cleghorn

In honesty to me it was a lot harder than any of the trails I went on in Colorado. But to be fair, comparing the two is not possible.

Sorry to hear about your damage. But battle wounds make you tough they claim.

Remember what happened to RICOVERDE? Same damage, same place on the trail, same side for me and THUBUB (both hit at the same spot) where we slid into that rock face when the rig was at something over 45 degrees.

We missed you. You're a fun guy to run with and we all admire your rig. That Deep Creek Trail to Green Lake (in the Lake Arrowhead area) is quite a bit tougher than the worst Cleghorn has to offer from what we saw of it. It's a 2-3 hour metal-bender and we only went a short distance due to the time of day before heading to Arrowhead.

I have no idea what's going on with your FJ - maybe a bad computer chip? Let us all know when you find out in case it happens to us. When something happens to your rig, I begin to worry.

We enjoyed having you along! You're welcome any time!! The FJ community may not be completely unique in its friendly attitude, but the quality of the people we run with here in SoCal is a serious cut above. We all are proud of our rigs but the ego stops there and everyone helps everyone else out -- the attitude is universally excellent. And welcome to the Forum!

<SEANZORZ hooked up with us at the trail head at random and ran with us all day to the Lake Arrowhead area.>

FJROD- Love your rig!
