I was up in the Panamints all weekend.. While up on one of the peaks above Stripped Butte Valley, spotted a Blue FJ heading down to Warm Springs in Death Valley... I waved, but......
I also saw a silver camping at Ballerat, but never saw the driver...

Arien and I have seen that rig out there before. We spoke to him and introduced him to the forum, but I don't think he ever checked in.
He has a nice looking FJ. To bad he hasn't joined us yet.

I have a few, but most of the 3 days we were on 4x4 quads doing trail scouting, while the FJ stayed back at Ballerat... A lot of the trails were old abandoned mining roads, and you would NOT want to take an FJ on them.. Heck we had 2 rollovers with quads! But found some awesome spots and some cool mines... There are a lot up there that an FJ can go, but since I've already been on them we wanted to go beyond what a vehical can do up there. We drove up Friday night, stayed at Stone Cabin, drove all day Sat and came back and stayed at Briggs cabin just in time for the storm to come through, and left Sunday night after another day of going everywhere we could find an old track.
1000 foot drop to the left. Some spots of the old road we were climbing at a rate of 700 feet gain in 1/2 mile, it was steep! You can see it on the GPS screen.
300 foot sheer drop off on the right... at night..
Gravity happens... Both this one and the one above are my ridding partner.
But once you get up there, you get some nice views.. The silver FJ and mine are both in this pict, down in Ballerat. Can you spot them?
