Guess what I saw?!?!!? A SFC Fj Cruiser with a CONVERTIBLE top on Garden Grove Bl in front of Toyo Tires (west of Golden West St). White female driving. I had to do triple takes as it drove by. NICE! Not my cup-o-tea, but nice.

You were talking about the girl, right? RIGHT?

You better have been talking about the girl.

Re: I Spotted you in SOCAL Thread

Convertible FJ? Naw....that top looked like one of the fake convertible tops someone would put on a 1990 Lincoln Towncar. Ghetto. It did NOT look right at all. The girl driving looked right!!

Toyo Tire AKA Gordon Tire is my budys shop. He is the one who did my lift kit. He also owns the car wash next door. And no I don't get a discount.

Re: I Spotted you in SOCAL Thread

I was there getting a quote for an alignment....a bit on the expensive side (I'm used to $60 from Anderson's Frame right down the street). That is, if the Toyota dealer doesn't align it under warranty....it's been pulling to the right since I bought it.

Re: I Spotted you in SOCAL Thread

Last time I was there I paid $60.00 for the alignment and comes with a 6 month warranty for the FJ. Need to talk to the old man. That is Allen. The owner. I would go in uniform or tell him His favorite Audio Video Installer refereed you. it's worth a shot.

Are you trying to get him into trouble? I think there are rules against that.

Re: I Spotted you in SOCAL Thread

Tony I don't think anything is wrong with it. Who's to say he is not on his way to/from work and happen to stop in to inquire of an alignment and the boss offers a discount. We at work give a 20% discount to all LEO by just showing a badge and Credentials. That is for everything we sell for audio video related. In uniform he could be giving out the vibe and expect a discount. As long as he does not ask for it, I think he will be OK. C-Ya!

Re: I Spotted you in SOCAL Thread

Oh yeah, I'd be in trouble considering I'd be WAY out of my jurisdiction....meaning the only reason I was going there was for a discount just because of my chosen perfession. I don't do that.....but I WILL throw your name around! Actually, when I got the quote (it was more than what you said here), I think they increased the price on me when I mentioned you!!

Dude, I think you're the dude I saw coming out of Circuit City last week. I was looking at the truck then noticed the sticker on the back center and noticed the SoCal FJ. Then I waved. It was at Sunset and Fountain.

I also think I saw you in Atwater this weekend. I was helping at the fair at Chevy Chase park.
nope. that wasn't me. although when i read your post on this, i did think that it might have been me. dammit! i was close to being spotted for once!
