I saw your rig with paper plates, full of mud, and a dented bling plate.
LOL - you saw that...that's funny. That dent was about 2 hours old. LOL.

I'm conflicted about that dent, by the way.

I'm so tired of modifying cars and spending money on cars...I just wanted to get something and leave it alone and just drive it.

But I'm kinda glad that happened for a few reasons:
1. It is a memory my brother, my daughter, and I will share for the rest of our lives. And it's a good story to tell family and friends..."Hey, remember the time Uncle PointBro was racing...err, "driving"...down Margaritaville and he said, "Watch This!" and Dad was in the back seat saying...
lol. good times
2. It made me get under the truck and check things out. That is one well designed truck.
3. And when it got dented about a dozen more times the next day (yesterday), on Miller Jeep Trail, I didn't feel so bad. The day before took that out of me.

The way the front plate is designed jutting out on those brackets is like getting into the ring and leading with your chin. I was following the same line as LBCAFJ in his 07TRD-BD and couldn't figure out why he didn't hit and I did.

Yep - definitely has to go.

But I did scuff the cross braces which connect the side ladder rails to that big beam which is under the transfer case.

I really don't want to lift this thing.

Oh well...if I wanted a nice crystal vase, I would have bought a Swarovski instead.

Saw a TI at an Irvine carwash this morning at harvard and main. It had smoked front and rear signal lights and custom wheels. Looked good!

Great spirit! I would swap it out for a proper front skid though. You don't have to lift the truck right away. Get a feel for it then lift it when you feel it necessary. Skids and sliders are immediate mods imho. I know you like wheeling so you'll get into the rough stuff sooner then later. Gotta get these mods done before you dent a door or something.

Re: I Spotted you in SOCAL Thread

I am starting to get very depressed... I've had my FJ at the Toyota Hospital for 5 days or so, and all I see on the road is other FJ's now. I've been spotting so many I can't remember who is who anymore...

Re: I Spotted you in SOCAL Thread

Seen a very very dirty (like they just came back from off-roading) Titanium with a Toyota brush guard, and a lil bull bar bumper like the ones off ebay. @ the Taco Bell on Roscoe Blv. and Desoto in Canoga Park.

Then seen a horrid sight the Putco FJ with all the chrome bling. @ Arbys on Topanga Canyon in Woodland Hills. Ive seen it 2x at that same place. Next time Im going to stop and get pictures.

Re: I Spotted you in SOCAL Thread

Saw a BD pulling about a 20' double axle trailer into JOHV park, just onto Bessemer Mine Road. Also saw a TRD at the Fair pits watching the race, an older gentleman. My BD loves its Donohoes now that the A- Arms are not riding on the top of its travel! I love my FJ...
