No returned waves or even a head nod. I give up on the wave or light flash unless they are modded. In SD the FJ has taken over the mini cooper as the "I just wanna look different" yuppie mobile.
I stopped waving unless the other person waves first or if I know the person. There are still somewhat modded FJ's I see around that never wave or even look
Heard DOM saw mine and was REALLY confused when he saw my wife driving not me..
he gets confused if the women arent inflatable!

If we are thinking about the same one, then it has All-Pro front and rear bumpers. I believe that All-Pro no longer makes non-winch bumpers though.
I've seen many FJ's around the San Diego area and I think I've only had one wave. I doubt it's personal and I could care less if I never get another wave again. Not all people that buy FJ's are fanatics. I'll admit I love 'MY' FJ but I'm pretty sure that there are allot of owners out there that just don't feel that owning an FJ puts them in the "Hey you have an FJ too" club.

Yep! That was us. Had to see my dad, aftrewards we went to the pier and walked around a bit. Something we used to do all the time but do rarely now.
