had a winch bumper, forget the brand (same as TCao)
I believe that could be be the Axis Wheels FJ. It looks like the one on their website and I believe they are in Orange County. I think those are the Axis Regulators with street lock. Just a guess.

I see that guy on average 2 times a month these days over by my office in Belmont Shore. It's an older guy who drives it. I think once I have seen him out near your way over near Leasure World.

Re: I Spotted you in SOCAL Thread

I had a sighting today but it was more of a reverse sighting. This has happened to me three times already. Each time was on the 405. I figured the third time was the charm so I decided to post it on here to see if any of you have had the same experience.

As stated, I was on the 405, in Orange County to be specific, and each time I was passing or being passed by a vehicle and the passengers were just staring blatantly at me. They weren't rude stares but more stares of curiosity or intrigue. Today's experience was different though because the female passenger began snapping pictures of my FJ as I drove beside them. She was smiling as she did it. Now, my FJ is by no means a showstopping rig like all of you here. It is almost stock. My only mods are a Toytec leveling kit, 285's on 16in. Tundra steelies, blacked out bezel, mirrors, and bumpers, fog lights mounted on the stock tupper-wear bumper, Trail gear sliders, and a home made airdam. None of it is extravagant and all my mods are actually flat black. If anything my rig looks pretty stock.

So who has had the same sighting experience?

Re: I Spotted you in SOCAL Thread

Hahah!!! That would have been a good explanation but they weren't asian. Maybe caucASIAN tourists that find the FJ astonishing. If that was the statement then it might have worked. Maybe I had a booger on my FJ and nobody told me.

Re: I Spotted you in SOCAL Thread

Yup. Thanks. I cut a scrap piece of plexi I had to shape and mounted it with some braces. I've had it on for about 6-7 months with no issues.

Re: I Spotted you in SOCAL Thread

Around midnight on the 101 E in the San Fernando Valley I saw a yellow FJ with white/cream lower panels and paper Hamer Toyota plates. Interesting coloring.
