Re: Mojave Road/Trail in October?

Can't wait to do this run!

I hope we don't have a lot of dust. I think Jeshua told me it wasn't bad. And there's a paradox for me... I want to take pictures but then I also want to haul butt like nobody's business.

Perhaps Uphill or Jeshua should chime in here, but it's been discussed among us that this will be a pretty fast run. As more people join, the slower it gets unless everyone takes an oath of lead-footedness.

The dust on my run wasn't real bad but it had rained a couple days before hand. So I would expect dust.

As far as pictures theres always time for pictures, just point and shoot as your flying by at 65.
Pictures are part of this run so I would think Uphill would be ok with it slowing down for some.

on my run a month ago there was a couple flats so the possibility is high. the right size spare should be high on the list. call around to some shops and see if you can pick up a used one for cheap. I am sure you could find one in good shape.
thanks jeshua

Funny Dominic...

Why do I picture this as being very RoadWarrior (MadMax) like event....60+ mph in the desert. Who is bringing a hockey mask and leather straps?

If I go it will be just on Saturday so you could use one of my gas tanks if you like.

Re: Mojave Road/Trail in October?

Dominic I might just be asking you to tow me out of there because you had the good sense to leave your rig alone. Most of the Mojave trip I'll be hoping that my little rig holds together.. the grass is always greener!
