camping is as primitive as it gets, and pack in and pack out is the rule, can only camp in designated areas, you are in a wilderness area.
I would not suggest night driving as it is hard enough to navigate how it is in the day time, at night you are up to the mercy of the wild. Several times the GPS's were off, we were navigating by rock carin's, miss a few at night, and you could be lost. Remember this is a wilderness area, and you will get reminded of that fast. The terrain is wild and there are very few roads in the area. Staying on trail is the most important thing here, 20 feet of trail and everything looks the same. Desert survival means carrying 3 days extra water, some extra food, and knowing where you are at always.

OMG! This is exactly why I want to go! Photography of wildlife in their natural environment.....a dream come true for me. Thanks

I just read the thread on this trail at A4x4 and someone felt the run was like a "desert safari".....it's gonna be great.

Someone took a picture of their outside temp guage....124deg!!!!!

It won't be that hot in October.

Even if it's warm in the daytime, it cools off very quickly in the desert at night -- a little later in the year. So bring warm clothing.
