Rowher Flat trail

Hey guys, this weekend I did rowher flats with my buddy in a tacoma with all pro suspension. the trail is not too bad, same difficulty level as cleghorn, with a couple sections that are a little bit hairy where a lift is necessary. I think it should be fun for a socal fj run, and was wondering if anybody wanted to do this with me some weekend soon. The trail isn't too long we were out there maybe 2-3 hrs. Heres the trail map, its located near Palmdale off the 14. Pretty easy to get there, 5 to the 14 and exit sand canyon rd, make a left, and theres an entrance off that road.

heres a map of the trail from ohvguide.com

anybody been there or interested in going, it was my first time, and there are some fun climbs, and off camber downhills, as well as some fun baja style flat dirt trails similar to a fire road.

Re: Rowher Flat trail

I'd be interested in it for this weekend, Sept 1, 2, or 3rd. I've never been there.

Re: Rowher Flat trail

I've been wanting to go there. I've been pushing it as a location for a SoCal meet. Did you notice any eating establishments nearby with lots of parking?

Glad you have fun....pics next time???

Re: Rowher Flat trail

Re: Rowher Flat trail

i just checked my fj this morning, and my factory skids are done from that trail but then again...i caught some air while going too fast on some of the downhills ... will take it slower with people new to the trail.. heres a couple pics fromt he trail, battery ran out of the camera so no action shots.

Re: Rowher Flat trail

Nice pictures! Do you need skids for this trail? I would be down to go Monday. I would love to go Sat or Sun, but my girlfriend really wants to go up there the first time.

Re: Rowher Flat trail

you dont need them really unless you want to take the hard route, theres an easy side and a hard side for the uphills. you'll be okay with your lift without skids , i cant make it monday, ironically i have somehting to do with my girlfriend on monday haha

Good to know! And that's hilarious, this is what my girlfriend and I will be doing for our day together! Maybe make another run up to Asuza Monday. I will post another thread.

Have fun Sunday!!! I wish I could make it.
