Personally I was thinking of a trip out to Bryce or Zion with my family. I've wanted to do some longer trips and those 2 locations are just beautiful. I may still do that pending schedule. That's a trip to far for most people though. March and April will be a great time for shooting pictures-esp when the flowers are blooming. Death Valley?
Interesting you should bring that up. It's a longer ways off, but I'm looking at the trip for the summit, and trying to find where to stop on the way there, and back. The wife and girls will be with me. I'm thinking either Zion or Grand Canyon on the way there, and then hit the other on the way back.
Sounds like a plan, but it might be a little hot. I was just thinking of the "ideal" time to visit those places. Your route certainly is more convenient!

I stopped by Zion on my way home last year a very cool place wish I had more time to spend there. This year I will try the grand canyon on the way home.
I would we can get a nice big caravan going out to Ouray this year since we have almost 30 peeps signed up from SoCal so I don't really have any plans for stops going out there.
