Anyone a Vending Machine Guru??

My first thought was to come here for help....you guys and gals are so cool with stuff like this - Ok, enough buttering-up. Here is my problem:

At my station we have a Pepsi machine for cans of soda. It's a HUGE machine. It was donated to us, and I run it. I stock it, I take the cash out for the station fund, I try to fix it when it goes down. Well, I'm extremely limited in my soda machine knowledge.

I'm looking for someone to help me with a (no cost, but I can pay for limited parts out of the station fund) maintenance call or to fix that is wrong with it. PM me for details.

Help?

Re: Anyone a Vending Machine Guru??

My knowledge of vending machines only goes as far as knowing how to grind pennies into "dimes" to eat and drink cheaply. No kidding, a couple of buddies and I got the Secret Service called out to our high school we did it so much. I wonder what the statute of limitations on counterfeiting is? This forum is anonymous, right?.... my good buddy Dave wouldn't squeal on me...

Sorry I have nothing of value to add to your thread, it just brought back the memories. Good luck getting it fixed.

That's funny. We used to remove the bottle tops and catch the soda in cups on the old bottle type vending machines (had the bottles laying on their sides).

2 of the bays don't register when they have cans in them....they think they're empty.

Every once in a while, all the Pepsi kicks out of one bay when someone buys just one....they get flooded with sodas! Bad for profit....

Change machine binds up sometimes, and I have no clue why or what causes it. Ok, that was redundant, twice.

I think it needs preventative maintenance (like an oil and filter change for soda machines), as well as maybe a part or 2.

That's why I asked for a machine guru....it's all hard to 'splain, especially over the forums.

Being that this is in the police department, can't you just use the honor system?
