You don't hear a shameless plug from me very often. I EXPECT superior customer service (which is why I have an axe to grind with All Pro, but that's another thread).
VOLHOO sent me to THE SOLDER JOINT to have a CB installation done. I went there a few months ago and they ran the coax cable and bolted on an antenna and the (famous) Bandi Mount, and matched the signal to the antenna.
Off I went.
Two days ago when I was up running between Lucerne Valley and Big Bear Lake, the antenna coax separated from the antenna. The coax and connector dangled and the antenna dropped to the trail - somewhere.
I went back to THE SOLDER JOINT for a new antenna because they were so pleasant to work with the first time. They fixed me up and the owner told me there was NO CHARGE! I protested and he said, "just say thank you". I did. He said, "maybe we put it on wrong. It shouldn't have fallen off like that and I feel responsible and want to make it right." (are you listening All Pro?)
The Solder Joint is a small shop in an obscure strip mall and they are not particularly prosperous but they know the meaning of CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Larry, Solder Joint has been around forever, bought my first cb from them back when cb's were cool, circa '83. Thought they had gone the way of the dodo with the advent of the cell. Good to know they are still around, they fixed me up back in the day with 3 vehicle installs before I figured it out on my own.

I have had them install a couple radios for me. 1st one was back in 1992 on my 4runner. They were family operated back then & done great work.

Cool. I had just ordered a new radio, antennae, and bandi mount from WalcottCB.com, and wasn't really looking forward to installing it myself. I'll give these guys a call when I get all the pieces in.
The install isn't bad If you buy the extension or dash mod you can mount the connector right in one of the blank switch covers and it comes out looking clean.
Do it yourself. The guy's at Solder Joint will run you through what you need to do.
I ran everything to the glove box. I bought a SWR meter from them and tuned it in. Very easy, took about 35 minutes.
