Body Shop Recommendation in San Diego Needed

Can anyone in San Diego recommend a good place to get some minor paint work done? Its stuff I could do myself but I just don't feel like possibly messing it up. (Mirrors, Door handles, corner pads, skid plate). Anyone got a buddy they can send me to who will take care of me?

Thanks in advance!

GA Coachworks....they've worked on my 07 335i twice (don't ask). It doesn't look like much when you go there, but they do impeccable work.

Tell George that Ryan sent you....good luck!

Try West Coast Specialties. You know you're in a good shop when you see 50+ Porsches INSIDE their painting facilities.

Re: Body Shop Recommendation in San Diego Needed

I have been to several paint shops ... the reason I was asking for body shops is to get some stuf on my FJ painted. (The grille bezel, the door handles, mirrors and bumper wings) I know a lot of people here on the site have painted theirs themselves but I just wanted to have someone else do it because I am pretty sure I would botch it.

But noone seems to wanna do it for less than 600 bucks! Maybe I am an idiot but if Earl Schieb will paint my whole car for like 250 bucks, how can he quote me 600 to paint 11 pieces of my rig?

Anyway, I wish I knew a bodyshop guy who would do this after hours for 300 bucks on a sunday when his shop is closed.

:-(

I want to paint the same pieces on my new FJ as well, except I will do it myself. If you want to wait (I'll start tomorrow), and if it my work looks good, I'll guide you through it. I think it is definitely worth doing myself, and if I botch it up, I'll seek a paint shop then.

I didn;t realize you just wanted little stuff like that done. Call Black Mountain Autobody. Tell the owner (big guy - cant remember his name) that Ryan with the Blue Audi A4 sent you. He has reasonable prices on little stuff like that and you can haggle with him on pricing.
