I wonder what the deal is with these companies. The one place I used in Pomona use to charge $16ish, but the second time I went in they wanted $32! I complained and they said they've adjusted prices. The gave me a price of $18, but said that it's a "special" favor. Anyway, the manager said if I want to keep the $18, I need to keep the receipt so I can prove that that's the price for "me". Kind of shady to me so I never went back. I use a shop in Rancho Cucamonga now. It's cheaper, but I've been there once where they couldn't fill on the spot. Told me I can get it later that day, but it turned out they were "too busy" so I had to return the next day. Would've been nice if they call me to tell me that!

They only filled 10lbs they had it on the scale and turned it off once I reached the correct full weight, 27lb's, I watch the inter time. To get the price the guy just looked at a chart that had a bunch of gas's and cost per pound and found the one for me, 10lb's of CO2, $15.00 + tax.

Your's sounds shade for sure. I think the price has gone up lately so I am not worried about a couple dollar increase but to double like yours did is crazy and wrong.

If I could to do it over again, I wouldn't even buy the PowerTank, just the regulator and other accessories. Then get whatever size tank I want, and go the exchanging tank route. That's what I do for the CO2 on my home brew keg. There must be 50 places that exchange CO2 tanks near me, but I have only found 2 that do fills.
I think alot of places just don't want to be bothered with doing 10 and 20 pound fills.
Time for someone to step up and get one of these bad boys:
POWERTANK - CO2 Air Systems
