Fire! Fire!

I hope everyone in affected areas are ok. If anyone is wheeling please be aware of the conditions.

Re: Fire! Fire!

I hope you know that running thru an internet forum screaming "Fire!!" is NOT protected under the First Amendment, young man!!

I hope all are OK as well. Seems like every time I turn on the news another part of So Cal is on fire.

Re: Fire! Fire!

Brian just emailed me and said he looked out the window at URD and saw fire coming over the hill.

That is in lake Forest, a good ways from Pomona. It must be a big fire.

Unhappy Re: Fire! Fire!

Oh man this place is burnin. It's very smoky here in San Diego. I hope that everyone gets out of the way of these fires. There is another big one in the southbay. I'm monitoring the local repeaters and its chilling to listen to people who are there describe the situation.

Re: Fire! Fire!

the newest OC fire (santiago canyon, west side of silverado) is a bout a mile away from foothill ranch right now, next to the 241 tollroad (portola pkwy & 241).

im sitting on my deck as im typing this and im just watchin the flames..

to cool, reminds of the laguna fire. (not cool, but you know what i mean)

Re: Fire! Fire!

It's hard to breath if I step outside the house. The fire is directly east of where I live, and even though it is miles away, It feels like my house is part of a scary movie set. It smells terrible too, so we are hunkering down and sealing doors and windows at this point. I hope the smoke and smell don't invade the house overnight. I feel sorry for anyone who has been caught or will be caught up in this nightmare.

Re: Fire! Fire!

I'm glad those folks coming back from Mojave Road didn't get stuck on the 15. I heard I-15N is completely blocked off.

Re: Fire! Fire!

I was at a party for UFC in Castaic last night, when someone came running in and said the hillside is on fire. It was close enough to feel the heat. So everyone help the guy whos house it was at move all his stuff. Luckily the wind was blowing so hard south it went right by. But was about 50 yards east of him for a few hours, very scary. But those can shift. So Im staying here to help him evacuate if need be.
A lot of people in so. cal. have lost houses. really sucks.
