Re: Need to wheel!

Back to work I go for 4 12 hr shifts starting tomorrow. I will prolly be getting my mounts chopped next week. Get my Cb repaired / replaced etc.
I will be ready for some minor rocks etc as soon as I get my sway bar / link problem solved. (mine is shifted n hitting the drivers coilover)
I still think everything is closed till we get some rain.

There is something special about rocks! I don't have much expirience on em but I plan to get some more in the near future. Long as I got you guys spotting I know i'm covered!

BTW I will prolly be driving down to Puerto Penasco Sonora Mex in mid December & hangin for 5-6 days.

Re: Need to wheel!

Dave, you certainly do travel! Lytle is really mild. Just getting out and playing in the washes and amongst the rocks. When do you think you're stuff will be done? Might try the hose clamp on the sways and see if that works.

Re: Need to wheel!

Do you still have that pic I took of you? Might give Dave a better idea of what's there.

Yeah the Procomp setup is weird. They used a weird bracket to reposition the bushings & brackets about an inch to the inside of the stock mounting position.

I've been in touch w/FjOllie about this & he is helping me out. But if all else fails I will have something welded on or use the hose clamps. I much preffer the bad azz collars though.

I have been to Lytle just not to wheel. Years back that used to be a open uncontrolled shooting area. When I was thinking I was Rambo in my younger days we would go out there alot.

I did one time take a really bad trail in my ol 92 4runner from above Ontario to Lytle only to be trapped by closed gate at the end. That was back in 93, peeps still growing weed back in there then.

As for the travel part................Rocky Point aka Puerto Penasco Mex becons me back year after year. The 500 mile drive isn't that bad at all.

Anyways, I wish I could make it Friday - but work is waiting for me. If you end up going have fun!
