are you using the Bandi Mount?

Here is a link to BigBill's install thread.

It gives step by step install directions, hope this helps.

Are you talking about the black rubber piece that connect the door to the fj body?

Re: please help with a CB install

Ok your problem is that the connector on the end of the coax is about 1/2 inch around. And there is a good amount of wiring already going through that boot. I would recommend that you hold off on running it through the boot until you get the bandi mount. Just run it through the rear door and across the door seal and remove the antenna when its not needed.

I agree. Unless you are going to put the connector on the coax after you've run it through the boot, you are better off just runnin it like Felonius said for now until you get the Bandi mount.

Re: please help with a CB install

There are cables that come with one end ready for that, where you screw on the connector after running it. It's a more permanant cable type, and what you would use with a real antennae on the bandi mount.

Like this one...

Firestik - K48R18 - 18 Foot Fire-Flex Coax w/ Fire-Ring & Stud

Featuring ... "PL259 Disconnected For Easy Installation" That one requires soldering, but others screw on.

Re: please help with a CB install

when it comes time to order the parts I guess that you will be getting them from Walcott CB, I will post up what part numbers that you will need since you already have the CB unit you just need the other parts to make it complete.
