Hmmm....I'm game! It's not like I've got a job.....ha ha!
Where? I've never done Cleghorn.
cool
We can meet at the McDonald at 138 and run Cleghorn from Silverwood Lake side. McDonald's parking lot off 138 (3230 WAGON TRAIN RD, SAN BERNARDINO, CA 92371). If you are going north on I-15, it's the exit AFTER Cleghorn.
I haven't tried it backwards so it should be fun. Might even have some snow left.

I'm thinking a wheeling time of noon. Need to finish up some stuff in the morning. Hit some easy trails, test the tires, and relax. I'm not set on Cleghorn so if you have other suggestions I'm open to it.

I'm meeting Felonious at the Ontario Costco (4th street exit on the I-15). We're meeting at 11:45 then going to grab a bite before heading up. I'm sending you my cell number.

The weather was perfect (50 degrees) and it wasn't too windy. Got a chance to test the tires and I'm in love with them. Sure I sound like a bomber, but hear me roar!
Met at Costco, had lunch on the cheap. Costco dog, pizza, and a drink for $3.50ish. Fill up on gas and aired down at Silverwood Lake.
Aired down to 18 and the sidewall didn't even budge. Hmm.. stiff I guess. In contrast, Felonious' tires looked deflated. The traffic was great on the trail. We only saw 2 vehicles and maybe 5 bikes. Met a fellow FJ driver. His FJ is only 3 days old. He'll join the forum I hope.
The LTBs feel very surefooted. The terrain is a mix of snow, mud, ice, slush, dirt, and rocks. They felt better then my stock tires in the dry. Really can't feel the slippery stuff.
Had a great time doing a lot of the side trails. We avoided a few that just didn't look safe. The trail in general is very eroded. Much of the trail has water running through the middle and cutting deep ruts. FJs had no issues.
We crested a hill and was greeted by a Nissan truck with 2 ghost white people in it. They asked Felonious if FJs have lockers . I guess their ride up the hill was quite exciting. Since the ground is slippery, there are parts you really don't want to have to back up.
