I think it's time we unite and step up to adopt a trail. This means we'll have to work a few times a year and do some grunt work to maintain the trail.
Does this interest you? With trail adoption will come with some perks (keys, access, etc.). If you enjoy the trails in socal and want to do something to make sure they stay open, this is a good chance to do that.

Count me in! That is one of the reasons I like to do the Calico cleanup and the Tin Benders Jamboree (Johnson Valley Cleanup). I feel we owe it to our offroad community and it is a good example to our kids.

If you guys missed the Lytle Creek run, we were fortunate to have a ranger open up a locked trail and personally escorted us to the backside of the Baldy resort. It's a locked year round so it was a real treat.
When you adopt a trail, you can take pride in knowing that you've done something good and that you've made a difference. Not to mention it's always fun to get together. What a great excuse!
