Re: Calling Santa Barbara FJ's

Hey SBMtbiker, I think I might be booked this weekend w/ the Superbowl but I'd be stoked to head out sometime.

Do you go play around locally anywhere? I'm always looking for new places too.

Re: Calling Santa Barbara FJ's

I've been exploring East Camino Ceilo. A Couple of weeks ago I hit the dirt road at the end and the gate was open. I was looping around and going to hit Paradise road I guess, but there was an accident, and I had to turn around. My normal days off are Sunday and Monday. I'll be busy with the SuperBowl all Sunday too. I'm up for anywhere localy. I have a titanuim silver FJ too.

I just bought my FJ and want to explore a bit. What is the road to Refugio like? Is it difficult? I don't have a lot of 4x4 experience. I'm at less than 400 miles...should I let it break in a bit more first?

Sounds like fun to me. Our backyard run to West Camino Cielo probably isn't worth the trip down. It's is very short but has a few challenging hill climbs. I am curious as to what there is up your way. Are you going to the Rubithon in June?
I am gonna sign up soon. I think the sign ups start this month. I'll be headed up to WCC this weekend to seat the new Donahoe suspension that I will finish tomorrow.

On a different note I was wondering if any of you local guys/gals would be interested in an FJ 101 class at my shop. I am down there on the weekends sometimes working on my FJ and I would be happy to answer any questions you guys have about the mechanics of your FJs. It's also a good chance to see the FJ up on a lift and and see how everything is set up. You could also see first hand quite a few mods that I have that you might be considering. It's always nice to see things before you purchase them on the web. It's also cool to be able to compare so if you guys want to get together and swap stories you can call me at the shop 805.962.9699. Don't be shy, I'm a nice guy and I like to help out, especially to promote the fun of wheelin. Call me if you want to go on a run up to WCC this weekend also. I don't know when exactly but I know I'm going. I'll be at the shop tomorrow after 8:00am
