I live in the city of Montebello. Cleghorn is about 70 miles NE of me. After Rincon-Shortcut Rd its one of the closests trails to where i live. (The others are the diff. trails near hungry valley and rowher flats)

Perhaps later, when there will br others available to join me, I will head out there. Untill then i'll just wait till Rincon is open again
You are right down the 605 from Azusa OHV.

Re: Rincon-Shortcut Road [02-10-07]

I am embarrassed to say I've never been to Azusa, even though it's just down the 210 from me. Next week I have the Calico thing. How about Sat 23 Azusa trip?

I consider it a place to get the tires dirty & be visually entertained by those that venture a little to far into the mud pits.

The place was much better when it was open during the weekdays. Now that it is only the weekends it can be a bit congested more so on Sundays.IMO

I read that they also have water crossings, rocks, dirt roads and sand hills. I hope its not just the mud pits.

That is all true! You will love it there! Don't get me wrong its a great place to get to know your rig. And its really close.

I'm an old dude thats been going up there since I got my license (1980) so its kinda gotten old for me.

I hope so. I just want to test my fj somewhere... and yeah, it is very close. And its practically attached to the Rincon-Shortcut Road. Have you been to that trail? It will be open again in the summer.

Yeah i've been to Rincon. It has very nice vistas & is another place to ck out when it opens again. Search the So Cal section you will find a bunch of threads on both of these places.

BTW welcome to the forum!
