The part of Anza-Borrego I was driving was NE of Mount Laguna and SE of Whale Peak. Centered at Diablo Drop-off (GPS 32 57 17, 116 11 14). I entered from the bottom of the park I-8 to S-2 to Canyon sin Nombre, then exited via Fish Creek at Ocotillo Wells.

Roger I forgot to ask are you using a camera mount or just holding it maybe a combo of both. If you use a mount what kind is it and do you have any pictures of it?

I was hand-holding it... just goofing around. Personally, I like the hand-held shaky cam look, but a little goes a long way. The HD camera is fairly heavy with wide-angle lens and big battery... my shoulder was burning.
I don't have any professional mounts, but have semi-successfully mounted it to the dash with a modified tripod.
Are you mounting with a cross bar on the seat head rests?

I don't think I could get away with holding a camera while driving since I have a manual.
I mount mine on a cross bar like you described but it is a little low for my taste and you end up not seeing much of the trail/road in my videos. I would like to find a way to mount it up higher at a downward angle but I don't have any good ideas on how to do that. I might end up trying to make one out of some scrap metal when I get the time.

This kit allows you to mount your camcorder on your roll cage on a vertical or horizontal tube of your choice. With one twist of the handle your camcorder can be adjusted 360 degrees in the horizontal plain and 180 degrees in the vertical plain. Included is our standard modular billet aluminum clamp ring, billet aluminum camera adapter, adjustable camcorder mount assembly and all the necessary stainless steel hardware. Available for many popular roll bar diameters.
Camcorder not included! Second mount not included.
The camcorder adapter has two different threaded holes in it that allow camcorder assembly to be mounted on both vertical and horizontal tubes of your cage. Also, the adapter is black anodized for good looks and to cut down reflection on your windshield when mounted on the dash bar. Picture to the left shows the two position options.
PATENTS PENDING.
Testimonial: Wayne Wong Shelby 427 Ford Cobra owner says my camcorder mount securely mounts my camcorder to the roll bar. It fits and looks great! Imperial, CA

Thanks Tony. But I would like to keep it inside and I don't have a roll bar to mount one of those to like Todd.
