Otay Truck Trail

I'm going to be at the Pio Pico Resort in Jamul tomorrow, and I just realized that is near the Otay Trail. I don't know when are we going on trail exactly, but its sometime between Wednesday and Saturday.

From what I've read,, it seems like an easy fire road trail. I don't know much about it so wanted to get as much info before I go tomorrow.

I saw a pic of a really rocky steep hill, and wasn't sure if it was part of the trail. I found out that there are some motorcycles that ride that trail. So would this trail be doable in a 4x2 FJ with 285 BFG AT's?

Any info would help

Thanks

Re: Otay Truck Trail

Oh and some maps would be nice too. I found one on google maps but mroe would be nice

I found this one, but wasn't sure if this was the main trail:

So if I enter by the Pio Pico Resort, whenever I hit a fork in the road, I should make a left. Correct?

I was looking at this one :

I'm assuming you've been there, so if I want to enter through the Pio Pico resort side, and making a left at all the fork's, will the trail be easy? And is the gat on the other end usually closed?

Looking at this map: http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&q=...-8&sa=N&tab=wl

-Thanks

Re: Otay Truck Trail

sorry, I pass by Pio Pico every once in a while if I am coming back from Tecate but I only go 2-3 times per year. I have never been on that trail. The last off pavement trail I did in that area was Proctor Valley from Jamul to East Chula Vista but that was about 2 years ago.
