x2.

After spending $12 to park, and $12 to get in, I find one small hall with nothing new in it - lots of unrelated jewelry and gag T-shirts, but not much of interest to the four wheeler. Met the Central Trail Teams folks, so that was nice, but after paying $15 for a sandwich, fries and a drink, and realizing I spend $25 in gas to get there and back, it was one very expensive hello...

Very, very misleading event advertising IMO...
Ya, what was up with that? There were like 10 booths (which is about 30%) that were nothing but junk/bling.

Re: Off Road Expo at Pomona This Weekend 4/4/08

From another thread...

I called last week with concerns about the lack of vendors and the appearance that they "threw" this show together with little regard to the attendee's dollar value. Got some BS answer back about building a "brand", blah, blah, blah. I opted not to go based on the floor plan showing several "unsold" vendor spaces in only one building and that conversation. I informed the representative of "Off Road Expo" that he was going to have alot of pissed-off people charging full-price for 1/10 of an event. I likened it to paying full-price for a movie and only being shown half, with NO prior knowledge or warning.

The event was also advertised on the radio as "The Largest Off-Road Show" anywhere. Misleading at the very least...

Here is a link to the event organizers contact page. Click on any name to send an email, better yet, all the names, even better yet after emailing all of them, call them too. Those of you that attended this event were taken for a ride and should DEMAND a refund!!

Don't just sit there, do something about this, be heard and let these "crooks" know that your money is hard earned and "WE" as the off-road community will not tolerate this "quick buck" mentality. Nor will we support your organizations efforts in the future.
